What is The East of England Championship Dog Show?

The Championship Dog Show is a professional dog showing event, which takes place in the same location as Just Dogs Live. It is open to those who want to enter a dog showing event at a competitive level and can be used to qualify for Crufts.

Schedules for entries will be available from February 2020.

If you’re not competing this is a great opportunity to see a wide range of breeds!

Where is Just Dogs Live held?

East of England Arena and Events Centre  – visit our how to find us page for more information.

What are the opening times?

As we partner with the East of England Championship Dog Show doors open from 7am each day however our Just Dogs Live content starts from approximately 9:30am.

Just Dogs Live closes at 5:00pm each day however the Best in Show ring can run later than this and visitors are welcome to stay to watch the results. However the rest of the show will not remain accessible.

How does ticketing / car parking work?

Tickets are sold per car rather than per person.

Advance tickets (available online) – £7

Tickets on the day (available on site) – £12

Spectator Dogs – £2 per dog

Spectator dogs need to have their owners complete this form – download the form here

Disabled Access

Just Dogs Live is committed to making everyone’s experience enjoyable. However the event is entirely outdoor on a mixture of grassed and paved areas with gradients/uneven surfaces. Whilst we make a great effort to provide facilities to accommodate for this there maybe some areas that are more difficult to reach. There will be an area for disabled parking as close to the entrance to the event site as possible.

I've lost my ticket / have a query about my tickets / want to come on a different day - what do I do?

All ticket queries can be sent to dogshow@eastofenglandarena.com

We are able to resend lost tickets and transfer tickets between days.

What happens if it rains?

Due to the nature of the event, many of the attractions and displays are outdoors, as well as a number of trade stands and exhibition stalls. However, the majority of the East of England Championship Dog Show is inside marquees.

Can pet dogs come to Just Dogs Live?

YES!!! At Just Dogs Live you and your dog will be spoilt for choice when it comes to taking part in the event. We have the PAD’s Fun Dog show and Have-A-Go activities for dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds (and their owners) to take part in – a full list of details and how you can get involved is available on the website.

Please ensure your dog stays on a lead (unless taking part in an activity) and that you look after your dog’s welfare.

Dogs may not be left in cars at any time.

We don’t have a dog – can we still attend?

Absolutely! Just Dogs Live is a great family day out – and a perfect one-stop-shop if you are thinking about getting a canine companion.

Is it purely a dog event or will there be things for the owners to enjoy?

While the focus of the event is very much dogs, we recognise that the owners need to be just as happy as their pets – particularly when it comes to being adequately fed and watered! There will be numerous food stands offering a range of hot and cold snacks as well as drinks and sweet treats. Or if you fancy something a bit more special – why not tuck into a delicious hot meal in our restaurant?

With displays and demonstrations to watch, and opportunities for shopping, this is an event for everyone to enjoy.

What’s the best way to keep updated with this year’s event?

Our website is updated on a regular basis, but for all the latest news follow our Facebook page @JustDogsLive or sign up to the newsletter here.

We will be travelling to the event from outside of Peterborough. Are there dog friendly places to stay and visit nearby?

There are indeed a number of hotels and dog-friendly pubs close to the venue and a little further afield, offering plenty of choice for a stop off before your journey home – or if you are making a short break of it, there is a great choice for accommodation to make the most of your stay.

Why not camp at the venue and make a weekend of it.

There is also Ferry Meadows Country Park – with Caravan Park – is also on the doorstep.
