Pets As Therapy announced as second charity for 2019 show
We are delighted to announce that Pets As Therapy will be the second of two charities supported by Just Dogs Live 2019.
Pets As Therapy is a national charity and was founded in 1983 by Lesley Scott-Ordish to enhance health and wellbeing in the community through the visits of trusted volunteers with their behaviourally assessed animals.
Pets as Therapy provides a visiting service in hospitals, hospices, nursing and care homes, special needs schools and a variety of other venues all across the UK.
Just Dogs Live, events co-ordinator, Janet Prior said, “The work undertaken by Pets as Therapy is remarkable and the testimonies on their website are evidence of the efficacy of their work. I am very pleased to be able to announce that Pets as Therapy will be the second charity we will be supporting through Just Dogs Live 2019.”
Each year Just Dogs Live selects a small number of canine charities as beneficiaries from various fund raising activities at the show. Pets as Therapy will be joining Animal Helpine as the two selected for 2019.
